The latest update to the iOS version of Google Maps features Dark Mode and Location Data Sharing. There are also some more widely used features of Google Maps for iOS users.

IOS users can share their current location data via iMessage from the location data share option on Google Maps. When sending text, you can include your location data by pressing the Google Maps button. The feature will be active for one hour as per general rules, it can be extended up to three days if desired. If you don't like it again, users can keep it disabled.

Now you don't have to open Google Maps again and again to know about traffic. New widgets can be displayed directly on the homescreen. Google has made the same arrangement in the case of search bar. One place search and regular destinations can be selected in one tap.

The iPhone widget, which came to iOS 14 last fall, makes it possible to get the new A7 ‘Quick Access’ feature in Google Maps, according to technology site Engadget.

On the other hand, if you want dark mode, you can turn it on from the settings.
