However, one thing to keep in mind is that a file can be restored to its previous location within 30 days of deleting it. However, after 30 days, the old file can not be returned. You can delete the deleted files permanently to empty the 'Trash' folder on the drive. How to recover a photograph in Google Photos

First, open the Google Photos app on your Android smartphone.

You will see a ‘Library’ tab at the bottom of the screen, tap on it.

This will open a new page, where you will see the ‘Trash’ folder.

 Clicking on the 'Trash' folder will show you all the deleted photos.

To restore a deleted photo or video, tap the 'Restore' button. So that the photo or video will go back to the previous place.

Contextual users will be able to recover a deleted file in Google Photos within 60 days. However, if a file has been in the Trash 'folder for more than 60 days, it cannot be returned.
