Learn how to schedule email on Gmail's desktop and mobile apps


Tech giant Google added an email scheduling feature to Gmail in April 2019. This feature allows us to send a pre-saved email to a future selected date and time. This feature is available in both mobile applications and desktop browsers. The email scheduling feature can be used specially in different situations and only the sender will know that the email is scheduled. Today in this report we will tell you how to schedule an email in Gmail through desktop browser as well as mobile app.





How to schedule an email in Gmail via desktop browser



 

1. First go to gmail.com and log in to your Google Account.



2. Now click on Compose and draft your mail with the recipient's email ID.


3. Now, instead of clicking on Send, click on the small drop down arrow next to the Send button and select Schedule send.


4. You will be shown a few pre-set options for the next few days. If any of these are right for you, just click on them; Your email will be scheduled.


5. If you want to choose a date and time, click Pick date & time.


. You can select the date when you want to schedule mail in a calendar. Or, the date can be entered manually in the text field along with the time.


. Once this is done, click Schedule send and your email will be scheduled for that date and time.


How to schedule an email in Gmail via mobile app


1. Open the Gmail app on your Android or iOS device.


2. Click Compose and draft your mail with the recipient's email ID.


3. At the top right, click on the three dot menu and tap on Schedule send.


4. You can see some preset options including Pick date & time option. Click Pick date & time to manually enter a date and time.


5. Select the desired date and time and click Schedule send.


In Gmail, scheduled mails are sent to the "Scheduled" category in the navigation panel. You can have up to 100 scheduled mails and edit them at any time before they are automatically sent.
