WhatsApp, a popular messaging app owned by Facebook, is going to launch a feature that will automatically delete the message, picture or video sent by the sender once viewed.

This feature, which is going to be launched on WhatsApp, is known as the View Ons feature. Snapchat has already launched this feature, but for the first time any other app is going to launch this feature.

According to WhatsApp, taking pictures or videos on our phones means capturing a large portion of the phone's memory, while the photos and videos we share do not need to be permanently saved. That's why this new feature has been brought to WhatsApp users. This feature will also help users to maintain their privacy.

Using this feature will continue to protect users' privacy through end-to-end encryption. Happily, customers will be able to use this new feature of WhatsApp in the market from this week.

It is good to know that if a message (text, image or video) sent through the View Ons feature is not opened within 14 days, it will be automatically deleted. However, recipients can still take media screenshots on Instagram and Snapchat. However, it is not yet clear whether this will be the case with WhatsApp.

You need to update to the latest version of WhatsApp to use the new feature. To send something to the View Ons feature, follow the same procedure as before. In order to open any chat or group and send pictures and videos, in case of iOS or Android, you have to go to the camera icon and paper clip and select the picture and video. After that, before sending the picture / video, if you click on the view ons option on the right side of the text bar, the picture will be sent. This feature is marked with a green circle like the WhatsApp logo.
